DARIEN & DARRIN GEE
WAIKOLOA RESIDENTS & AUTHORS
A couple of weeks ago, we signed refi docs at a notary’s house in North Kona with wild chickens running around, bottles of bug spray and hand sanitizer resting on the table. The notary assured us that the pens had been thoroughly disinfected, then directed us page-by-page through the entire package from the phone upstairs. Ninety minutes later, we left with fresh eggs, avocados, a cilantro starter, an okra starter, a red chili pepper starter, a succulent, and a bag of smoked spearfish to munch on during the drive back to Waikoloa Village. The starters are planted in our garden and thriving. The succulent sits on my desk, and brings me joy every time I see it.
